What is the module's lowest point; bottom of the module or underlying installations?

Generally the lowest point is the bottom of the pod, which is flat and can be taken as point zero. In some projects, the floor drain can protrude underneath but, in such cases,we provide the pod with feet to protect the drain from damages.

How is possible to calculate and realize the Fire-Resistance of a Bathroom Pod?

The Bathroom Pod is not a structural element subject to fire loads; therefore the compliance to Fire-Resistance standard in not relevant but in exceptional cases. Therefore basic versions (both in concrete and steel boarded frame) have no fire rating.

In the case of the concrete pod (CBM), Fire resistance is calculable and can be achieved in two degrees: 30 minutes and 60 minutes, by upgrading the walls construction; for concrete pods by thickening the walls and using...

How is possible to calculate and realize the acoustic insulation of a Bathroom Pod?

Acoustic insulation is obtained acting on pod shell and coverings materials, and it is calculable. If particular performances are requested, they will be agreed and a solution will be found during the design period, together with the design team members.

What recommendations are provided regarding the installation of interior walls around the module? Is it required an extra wall or else the walls of the module may be used as a support?

Regarding concrete modules, the lining boards can be glued onto the external faces of the module itself. In case of a steel structure, the plasterboard lining can be fixed directly onto the module’s steel frame, paying attention only to the position of the possible pipe installation.

What recommendations are provided about the casting around the module? The module can be cast solid or else spacers should be used with respect to sound insulation?

If the module is set in recessed floor area, it should be separated by the screed casting by means of sound insulating strips.
